Welcome to Cookie Town
Stanford, Kentucky—one of the Commonwealth’s earliest settlements, founded in 1775 by Benjamin Logan—beckons with a heritage rich in history and driven by community pride. As the county seat of Lincoln County, our town preserves many of Kentucky’s “firsts”—from the original brick schoolhouses to the oldest courthouse records still intact.
This fall, Stanford once again becomes a celebrated stop on the Bourbon Chase, a 200-mile overnight relay that threads through Kentucky’s rolling Bluegrass hills and famed bourbon distilleries. On the evening of October 3, hundreds of runners will pass through our historic Main Street, bringing with them energy, enthusiasm, and opportunity.
We invite you to join in the excitement, cheer on the teams, enjoy local fare and community spirit, and share in the joy of seeing our town shine. Whether you’re a visitor or a lifelong local, Stanford warmly welcomes you to be part of this unforgettable Kentucky tradition.
