Shane New serves as Executive Director of the Stanford–Lincoln County Industrial Development Authority, where he works to support business growth, industrial development, infrastructure investment, and economic opportunities throughout Lincoln County.
Shane brings more than 30 years of experience in local and regional government, community and economic development, planning, infrastructure, GIS, and technology. Prior to his current role, he spent most of his career with the Bluegrass Area Development District (BGADD), where his final position was Deputy Director and Director of Community Planning.In that role, he managed a multidisciplinary department responsible for economic development, water and wastewater planning, land-use planning, transportation, broadband, GIS, information technology, grant development, and other community development initiatives serving the region’s 17 counties and 33 cities.
A Lincoln County resident, Shane holds a Bachelor of Arts in Geography from Eastern Kentucky University.
