Hero of the Iron Rail – The Story of John Fox Dudderar

Join us for the 100-Year Commemoration of John Fox Dudderar, an Engineer for the L&N Railroad. In 1925, a tragic train wreck at Knob Lick, Kentucky, claimed his life, but he heroically saved everyone else on board, including his brakeman and six Pullman cars filled with passengers. The event will feature the unveiling of a new Dudderar display, along with a program dedicated to sharing the Dudderar Story. Throughout the day, there will also be several history programs, model train displays, and caboose tours for attendees to enjoy.
